What is the fees for Khalsa Camp NZ 2018?
The early bird fees for the campers is $99. This fees is highly subsidised through donations. The normal fees is $149 per head. You get further discounts on the normal fees if more than 1 campers register at the same time.
Who can attend this camp?
Anyone is welcome to attend Khalsa Camp. Those below the age of 13 can attend if any of their parents or a guardian is also attending the camp. Those below the age 18 need consent of their parents / legal guardians to attend the camp. Note: Being Amritdhari (baptized Sikh) is absolutely NOT a requirement to attend Khalsa Camp. Those who attend will be at different places in their spiritual journey and some may just be interested in learning about Sikh spirituality for the first time.

When is Khalsa Camp NZ 2018?
Khalsa Camp NZ will be held during from 2nd to 6th February 2018.
Is there separate accommodation for girls at the camp?
Yes. Girls will have a separate residential section. Proper arrangements have been made to cater to the requirements of female campers. Multiple female volunteers (Aged 30-50 years) will be residing at the camp and be present full time. Any potential issues can be discussed with them.
Are there any transportation options available / how will I get there?
The camp site is less than 30 kms from Takanini and you will have to get there by yourself. If you do not have transport, we can pool you with other campers.
When do I need to arrive?
Campers can arrive from 3pm onwards on 2nd February 2018.
Can my parent stay with me?
Parents can also attend the camp as campers. They will need to register separately.
I have a special dietary requirement can the Camp full fill them?
Yes, if mentioned before the camp starts. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will keep all concerns that you might have in the strictest of confidence. Khalsa Camp volunteers will do their best to address any concerns from those who are looking to attend Khalsa Camp.
I am allowed to bring any electronics?

Khalsa Camp is grounded in the Panthic Rehit Maryada. All Sikhs of any background are welcome at Camp.
Why should I attend this camp?
The aim of Khalsa Camp is to help you "Discover the Spirit Within". It is common for Sikhs to live their lives without any spiritual experiences and consequently remain spiritually frustrated. Many find it difficult to begin their spiritual journey, despite the efforts that they may make. Khalsa Camp seeks to push-start those who need to begin their journey, inspire those who have already begun and share with those who have travelled far on the path of God.

Do volunteers participate/attended any session?
As a volunteer you will attend all the sessions but your main purpose is to help run the session.
I have asthma/physical injury how intense are the outdoor activities?
Activities are designed for any fitness level but in say that you will not be forced. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
